If you love music you’ll love Life, Love and Lyricality

Kori & I with our girls

I have to admit, I’m not much of a music lover. Like…I appreciate music and I love to listen to it. But I’m not really connected to it. It doesn’t give me a buzz and I don’t have some deep spiritual connection with music. But some people do and Kori is one’a them. What’s this got to do with Rett Synrdome? Well, Kori is a Rett mum and that’s about it. Other than that, this has nothing to do with Rett. I suppose if I could tie it in, I’d say that Kori is a shining example of a mum who hasn’t lost herself in this 4-letter word that has overtaken many parents to an extent that they eat, sleep and breathe Rett. Kori is such a rich, deep and meaningful woman to know and very little of that has anything to do with Rett Syndrome. That just happens to be what connected us. Ok enough of me gushing about my friend Kori.

The point of this post is to direct you to her her blog Life, Love and Lyricality. You’ll never believe it, but she’s only been blogging for a few months and she already has a following to be jealous of. She’s being watched on Twitter by some pretty gigantic musicians like John Mayer {before he deleted his account for the second time, of course! He’ll be back.}

In this world of 181,000,000 blogs {seriously…there are 181 million blogs!}, what stands out about Life, Love and Lyricality? Kori fuses word and sound. The top of each blog post starts with a song for you to play while you read the post. The post is then peppered with relevant lyrics from the song while you read. I think this is amazing because it brings a mood into the post and uses the power of music to set the scene in a way that just wouldn’t happen if all you heard was kids screaming/elmo on tv/whatever you were already listening to while reading the post.

Kori blogs about so many amazing life topics which will resound with any reader and I highly recommend that you subscribe to her blog and let Kori take you on a journey of musical discovery.
