Grace for Rett » Grace's Life with Rett Syndrome

D + V = Yuck

S o Grace’s D + V {diorama and vomiting} turned into vomiting blood and an ambulance to the hospital. I’ve never seen any of my kids so poorly. Remember that time she fell 5 feet onto her head? She was STILL smiling through that. And this week, we went for 4 days without so much as a shadow of a smile which is a pretty good indication that this illness had hit her hard.

In the hospital, she had fluids through an NG tube and went home freshly hydrated and strengthened to get through another day or two of sickness. She’s all better now, but man, oh man…don’t ever want to do that again!

Love you Gracie!!!
The best and bravest little girl in the world. ‘When we are weak, He is strong’. No better example of this than with a beautiful little human as Grace. I have not seen many as influential as Grace. Everywhere she goes, sick or well, she touches someone deeply. And her mom is such a great scribe and a witness of it. Thanks Elizabeth!
